I’ve been doing the Friday night shoots part of the lightGIANTS for about 2 years (with the exception of one or 2 shoots). This time we were shooting a CD cover for a “Belle Époque” Trio. Unfortunately the idea of shooting it all in period costume wasn’t possible so we decided to shoot a high key and a more dramatic lighting style.
Shooting musicians and actors is a lot different to models.Although both are used to being in the spotlight musicians and actors haven’t generally had to follow directions fro photographer before. But that said musicians and actors tend have a confidence that that comes through quickly creating a fun shoot.

argh! wish i had the chance to join you guys in the shoot. I’m comfortable around musicians (i used to be one) and it would have been fun. 🙂
