I have wanted to do this shoot for a while now but never go around to it, so I was very excited when Thorsten<\/a> suggested it as a theme for a lightGIANTS<\/a> Friday nigh shoot<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Due to the large number of models and photographers involved in this shoot we didn’t get around to to many lighting set ups.. The first round was shot using an 80×100 shoftbox and a silver reflector up close and slightly to the side. The second round was shot with a colour gel on the background and<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n Day of the Dead<\/b> (Spanish: D\u00eda de Muertos<\/i>) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it is a national holiday, and all banks are closed. The celebration takes place on November 1 and 2, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honouring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favourite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. They also leave possessions of the deceased.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
